The mercury rose further in most parts of Himachal Pradesh today even as high altitude tribal areas saw mild snowfall and adjoining hills received light rains.
Keylong in tribal Lahaul and Spiti districts received 3 cm of fresh snow while Rohtang Pass and other high altitude areas had 5 cm to 10 cm of snow.
Bharmaur tribal areas in Chamba received 10 mm rains followed by Saloni 2 mm and Chamba, Kalpa and Manali had one mm rains.

The local MeT office had warned of heavy rains or snow at isolated places in mid and higher hills today but weather remained mainly dry.

The tribal areas reeling under sub zero temperatures for past two months had some relief from cold and Keylong and Kalpa recorded a low of 1.6 degree and 6.0 degrees, while Manali was warmer during the night with minimum temperature at 5.4 degrees C.
However, the minimum temperatures remained five to nine degrees above normal and Solan and Dharamsala recorded a low of 10.4 degrees, followed by Shimla at 12.7 degrees.
