The maximum temperature was at a notch lower than the season's average but Delhiites were in for a hot day today even as the weatherman made a forecast of a possibility of dust storms in some parts of the city tomorrow.
The mercury settled a notch below the normal at 37.6 degrees Celsius while the minimum was recorded at 24.2 degrees, also a notch below the normal, a MeT Department official said.
The humidity in air oscillated between 41 per cent and 73 per cent.

There is a prediction for partly cloudy skies and likely dust storms in some parts of Delhi tomorrow.
"The sky will be partly cloudy. Dust storms could occur in some parts of Delhi. Tomorrow the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 38 and 24 degrees, respectively," the official said.
The maximum yesterday had settled at upwards of 39 degrees.
