The national capital woke up to the season's hottest morning today with the temperature rising to 24.8 degrees Celsius, six notches above the season's average.
However, rain or thundershower may offer respite towards the afternoon, weather department officials said.
"The minimum temperature recorded in the morning was the highest this season. The sky would be partly cloudy with maximum temperature likely to hover around 39 degrees Celsius," an official said.

The maximum would be nearly five notches above the season's average. Humidity at 8.30 AM was at 58 per cent.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature settled at 38.9 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded at 21.5 degrees Celsius.
