The mercury soared in many parts of Rajasthan today with Churu recording a maximum temperature of 46.5 degrees Celsius.
Sriganganagar, Bikaner, Barmer and Kota recorded a maximum temperature of 45.5 degrees Celsius, 44.8 degrees Celsius, 44.7 degrees Celsius and 44 degrees Celsius, respectively, according to the MeT department here.
Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Jaipur registered a maximum temperature of 43.7 degrees Celsius, 43.2 degrees Celsius and 43.1 degrees Celsius, respectively, it said.
The department has predicted heat wave at isolated areas in the state during the next 24 hours.
