Mercury soars in Rajasthan

scorching heat for people in Rajasthan as the mercury rose to above normal in most parts of the state.

According to the MeT office, SriGanganagar recorded the highest temperature in the state at 45.5 degrees Celsius.

Bikaner recorded a maximum temperature of 45.3 degrees Celsius, while Jaisalmer, Barmer and Jodhpur recorded day temperatures of 43.7, 43.6 and 43.2 degrees Celsius respectively.

The maximum temperature in other parts of the state oscillated between 43 and 42 degrees Celsius.

According to the MeT office, heat wave conditions would intensify in the state during the next 24 hours.
