Three-time Academy winner Meryl Streep says her marriage to sculptor Don Gummer has been successful because they compliment each other beautifully.
Streep, 65, who has four children with Gummer, 68, said their 36-year-old union works well because they accept each other's differences, reported Hello magazine.
"We're kind of the perfect odd couple. Don is a man of few words - I'm the one who keeps up a constant stream of chatter in the house. He listens very patiently and then goes back to his work," the iconic actress said.

"He also loves me as I am, eager and overactive, even at this age. He's the definition of the introverted, introspective artist. I'm very expressive and more exuberant. We complement each other beautifully that way."
The "Kramer vs Kramer" actress said she was proud of her family and never felt like she sacrificed any part of her career to raise her kids.
