The Met department today forecast partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunderstorm tomorrow in most parts of Bihar.
The state has been in the grip of scorching heat for the past several days and the cloudy and windy weather conditions brought the temperature down in some places.
As per the met office bulletin Gaya was the hottest place in the state recording a maximum temperature of 38.5 degrees, which was, however, considerably lesser than yesterday's 46.1 degrees celsius.

Bhagalpur and Purnea recorded maximum temperature of 33.4 and 34.0 degrees Celsius respectively, it said.
Light rainfall occurred at one or two places in north east parts of the state with Bhagalpur registering a 0.2 mm of rainfall, the bulletin added.
