Select copper softened, while select brass and lead prices edged-up in an otherwise listless non- ferrous metal market here today on stray bouts of buying and selling on the back of lower London Metal Exchange (LME) cues.

The industrial metal slipped at the LME, under pressure from a stronger dollar after US retail sales data underlined a recovery in the world's top economy.

Copper scrap heavy, copper armiture and copper utensils scrap softened by a rupee per kg each to Rs 484, Rs 474 and Rs 451, respectively.

However, brass sheet cutting moved up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 337 from Rs 335 and lead inched-up by a rupee per kg to Rs 137 from Rs 136 previously.
