The Mumbai Metro rail service between Versova and Airport Road station were today suspended for over half an hour due to technical snag near Andheri station.
According to Mumbai Metro One (MMOPL) spokesperson, the services between Versova and Airport Road were suspended due to an overhead wire failure at Andheri at around 5.30 pm.
"Their is an overhead wire failure near Andheri and train services are suspended temporarily between Versova and Airport Station. Trains are running between Airport Road and Gharkopar Station. MMOPL regrets inconvenience," the spokesperson said.

"Since the services were halted near Andheri station, commuters had to be evacuated from the metro," the spokesperson added.
The company said it is yet to receive a detailed report about the technical snag.
"The services were resumed in half an hour," MMOPL said.
It may be recalled metro services were halted in early May this year after the signalling system developed technical glitches, forcing operations to come to a halt for a couple of minutes.
