A city official says a passenger bus has plunged into a canyon on the outskirts of Mexico City, killing at least 14 people and leaving more than 20 hurt.
The accident occurred today morning on a highway in the municipality of Naucalpan, a part of the State of Mexico neighbouring the capital.
The official says the bus fell at least 130 feet (40 meters) down the slope from the winding highway. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to release the information. Mexico City rescue units were aiding at the scene of the crash.
