MG Motor India, a wholly-owned arm of China's SAIC Motor Corp, today appointed Gaurav Gupta as its Chief Commercial Officer - Customer Experience & Marketing (CEM).
Gupta joins the company from Bridgestone Tire Indonesia where he was serving as the President Director, MG Motor India said in a statement.
He will oversee the marketing, sales, customer delight and dealer development functions, it added.
"Gaurav brings rich industry experience in customer-facing areas, which are critically important for success in India," MG Motor India President and Managing Director Rajeev Chaba said.
The company, which plans to launch an SUV in the country by the second quarter of next year, has also recently appointed Rakesh Sidana as National Sales Head and Rajesh Mehrotra as the National Service Head.
MG Motor India plans to launch one new product each year in India from 2019.
In 2017, MG Motor India had completed the acquisition of General Motors manufacturing plant at Halol in Gujarat.
