In their bid to deliver eco-friendly passenger convenience, Mumbai Airport and the newest full-service airline Vistara today began offering mobile phone boarding pass facility on a pilot basis.
The Tata Group-Singapore Airlines promoted Vistara operates from Terminal 2 of the GVK Group Mumbai International Airport Pvt Ltd (MIAL).
The first of its kind initiative by Mumbai Airport, helps provide Vistara's customers a truly seamless travel experience, the airport said in a statement.

Vistara's customers travel out of Mumbai's T2 terminal to New Delhi, Goa, Bangalore, and Ahmedabad, it said.
Vistara's customers using the facility for their travel from Mumbai T2 will need to choose -- Get Mobile boarding pass/Collect by SMS -- option when checking-in online or on mobile app.
The SMS from Vistara will contain the booking details and the link to access the mobile boarding pass, it said.

Commenting on the initiative, MIAL Chief Executive Officer Rajeev Jain said, "Mobile devices assume centre stage of consumer convenience in the modern day ecosystem.
