Actor Michael Douglas has feted Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel at a special ceremony.
The Hollywood actor feted the 87-year-old Nobel Peace Prize winner during a gala organised by Holocaust survivor charity The Blue Card at the New York Public Library in Manhattan, reported Contactmusic.
Douglas, 71, presented Wiesel with the Richard C Holbrooke Award for Social Justice for his campaigning, and the actor praised him for his advocacy work.
"You speak out against silence, you carry on the unending fight for the victim, you shine the light of truth and you shout the voice of outrage against the horror of oppression, you sound a clarion call - action is the only remedy for indifference," Douglas declared.
