"The Danish Girl" star Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender are in no mood to go public with their romance as they awkwardly avoided each other during the 'Kiss Cam' segment at Bafta award ceremony.

The 38-year-old Irish actor and Vikander, 27, who were both nominated for best actor and best actress at the Baftas, sat together at the Royal Opera House.

And when host Stephen Fry introduced the 'Kiss Cam' segment, both sat awkwardly as their turn approached.

While Leonardo DiCaprio and Maggie Smith, Julianne Moore and Bryan Cranston and Rebel Wilson and Eddie Izzard all dramatically shared a kiss for the bit, the real life couple refused to be drawn into it.

The segment was dropped from the BBC One broadcast, but several guests in attendance shared a picture of that awkward moment.

Vikander and Fassbender, who have been been dating for more than a year, also avoided posing together on the red carpet.
