In one of the saddest moments at the 87th Academy Awards, Michael Keaton was seen putting back his acceptance speech in his pocket after he lost the best actor Oscar trophy to Eddie Redmayne.
The 63-year-old actor won numerous accolades throughout the 2015 awards season and many, probably he himself, thought he had a good shot at taking home an Oscar for his leading role in 'Birdman'.
However, when the time came, Redmayne snagged the honour for playing Stephen Hawking in 'The Theory of Everything.'

An internet user caught a clip of Keaton putting a piece of paper into his jacket pocket during applause for Redmayne.
Keaton may have had to return empty-handed, but 'Birdman' scored four wins at the ceremony including best director for Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu and best picture.
