Veteran actors Annette Bening and Michelle Pfeiffer have been roped in to star in the psychological thriller "Turn of Mind".

Gideon Raff is attached to direct the film, reported Variety.

The film is based on Alice LaPlante's New York Times bestseller of the same name and has been adapted by Pulitzer Prize winner Doug Wright.

The story focuses on a retired orthopedic doctor suffering from Alzheimer's who is trying to figure out if she killed the person the police claim she had, or if she is being deceived.

"'Turn of Mind' is an edge of your seat emotional thriller. A story of a warped friendship between two brilliant, sharp, forceful women who are bonded equally by their love for and jealousy of one other," the director said.

Raff and Gail Berman are producing the film through their The Jackal Group banner along with Well Told Entertainment's Rory Koslow.
