Middle-aged man commits suicide in Punjab

A middle-aged man allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a train near Chak Hakim village, railway police said today.

The incident took place yesterday.

Police are unable to identify the body and are still investigating the matter.

"The body has been kept in the mortuary of the local civil hospital for identification," in charge local GRP post of Phagwara railway station, Gurbhej Singh said.

"The deceased had greying hair and beard," he added.
