Migratory birds flock to Chari ganga

To escape from the severe cold the migratory birds have come to the Chari ganga which is about 11 km long in the Purbastali II Block of Burdwan district about 85 km from the district headquarters town, Forest department sources said.

The birds which have come to the Chari ganga are the Siberina crane, purple shuttle, little grip and others.

Members of a local NGO Banabith said a large number of tourists also flock to the area to watch the birds.
