The state governors are disciplined, as they are made to read out the speech prepared by their office at any function, Tamil Nadu Governor in charge, Ch Vidyasagar Rao said today.

Referring to the mention made by a speaker, earlier at a function here, that all speakers should maintain discipline when the Governor is on the dais, Rao said, "We (Governors) have to maintain discipline and should speak very less and confine to the prepared speech."

"We are politicians and when in front of a microphone, we tend to deviate here and there. Then there will be a blast the next day over it," Rao said in a lighter vein at the inauguration of a Robotics Surgery Centre at GEM Hospital here.

"Hence, I confine myself to the prepared speech," he said.
