Mild snowfall at the Rohtang Pass and neighbouring areas led to wintry conditions in the higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh today.

Temperatures plummeted across the state as strong velocity icy winds swept the region.

Dense fog engulfed the region, affecting traffic as vehicles moved bumper to bumper with head lights on in the morning hours.

Kalpa had a low of minus 0.4 degree, Keylong and Manali recorded 1.6 degrees and 3.4 degrees. Solan gauged 5.4 degrees, Shimla 5.6 degrees and Bhuntar 6.5 degrees Celsius.

The weatherman predicted rains or thundershowers in the lower and mid hills and rains or snow in the higher hills for up to November 19.
