: Mild tension prevailed Friday

at the residence of Telangana Congress Working President A Revanth Reddy as the party workers tried to barge into his home, where he was being grilled by Income Tax sleuths.

The I-T Department conducted searches at Reddy's residence and his relatives residences and offices Friday and Thursday.

Fearing his arrest, the former MLA'sfollowers demanded that police produce him before them.

Reddy came out of his residence and waved to the cadres, who were shouting slogans against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Police then escorted him back in to the house.

Harish Chandra Reddy, Jubilee Hills inspector, said they took about 20 persons into preventive custody.
