Pop star Miley Cyrus has criticised Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" video.

The 22-year-old singer, who is set to host the MTV Video Music Awards, took a dig at the "Love Story" hitmaker's music video and role model status, reported Marie Claire.

"I don't get the violence revenge thing. That's supposed to be a good example? And I'm a bad role model because I'm running around with my assets out? I'm not sure how they are worse than guns," Cyrus said.

The video under scanner was features Swift plotting revenge on a former friend played by Selena Gomez.

The "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker also targeted the double standards that dominate the field.

"There is so much sexism, ageism, you name it. Kendrick Lamar sings about LSD and he's cool. I do it and I'm a druggie," she said.
