The other recoveries made from an open field at Dayalgam village in Anantnag district included an Under-Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL), a UBGL grenade, one Chinese grenade, one kg each of explosives and sharp nails, a remote controlled IED box, a pressure cooker for IED and one FM receiver, official sources said.
The sources said one RPG booster, two pistol magazines, one silencer, four AK magazines and 120 AK rounds were also recovered from the hideout.
The recovery of the locally-made hand grenade was a significant development as it was for the first time in 22 years of militancy in the state that such an explosive has been recovered from a militant hideout, the sources said.
