Militants fire at CRPF camp in J-K's Pulwama

Militants tonight fired a few shots towards a CRPF camp in Awantipora area of Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, police said.

"Militants fired a few shots at the CRPF camp at Panzgam in Awantipora area at 8.10 pm," a police official said.

He said the jawans from the camp returned fire, forcing the militants to flee.

No casualties have been reported in the incident, the official said.

A search operation has been launched in the area to track down the militants, the official added.

The incident comes days after six Army personnel and a civilian were killed in a terror attack on the Sunjuwan military station in Jammu.
