At least two Afghan policemen were killed today when militants attacked their vehicle in Pakistan's restive southwest Baluchistan province.

The policemen were going to Quetta for medical treatment when attacked in Chaman district, a small Pushtun town bordering Afghanistan.

Six militants on three motorcycles opened fire at the vehicle of Afghan policemen from Helmand province, Dawn reported.

The bodies were shifted to district hospital for postmortem as the attacker ran away after the incident.

Nobody has claimed responsibility for the attack, but Taliban militants are active in Chaman.
