Milk vendor murder case: Widow surrenders in court

The widow of a murdered milk vendor today surrendered before a Judicial Magistrate court here in connection with the murder case.

The vendor was allegedly murdered by his 19-year-old daughter and her lover with the help of four others for opposing their relationship.

The vendor, Nagaraj of Chokkampudur in the city, was found dead near his farm in Negamam in the district, on May 24, with multiple stab injuries.

On June 10, police cracked the case with the arrest of four friends of her lover and the duo surrendered before a court hours later.

They have been lodged in the central jail here.
 

Police were searching for the mother in connection with the case.

The woman surrendered before the 8th Judicial Magistrate Balamurugan, who remanded her to judicial custody, and posted the case for June 20.
