"Stranger Things" star Millie Bobby Brown has revealed she has split her kneecap and would not be able to attend the MTV Movie & TV Awards.
The 14-year-old actor took to Instagram to share the news.
''Another milestone in my life, I've never actually broken a bone. I have split my knee cap so from the doctors orders, he told me to rest up and that means I won't be attending the MTV Awards," Brown said in a video.
"Stranger Things" is nominated for a total of seven awards this year, including one for Brown's performance and another for Best Kiss (shared between her and co-star Finn Wolfhard). The rest of the crew Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Sadie Sink (Max), and Noah Schnapp (Will) will attend the ceremony to accept any awards on the show's behalf.
"I hope Gaten and Caleb, Finn, Sadie, and Noah have the best time and I love them so dearly. I wish you guys the best and I'm sending my luck with you, and I'll be there in spirit," Brown added.
The young star won the Best Actor in a Show trophy at last year's MTV Movie & TV Awards. This will be her second win in the category if she triumphs this year.
