Security forces today busted a militant hideout and recovered a cache of arms and ammunition in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Acting on a tip-off, army along with troops of Jammu and Kashmir Police recovered the cache of arms and ammunition in Lal forest area, hidden in a natural hideout, a defence spokesman said.
He said forces recovered two pistols, three radio sets, 2 anti-personal mines, 20 rounds of AK-47 rifle ammunition, 3 rounds of pistol ammunition, two hand grenades, one magazine of AK-47 and other items.
"The timely recovery of the cache has prevented any untoward incident in the area, thereby thwarting the evil designs of the terrorists", he added.
The Army has been conducting relentless operations to ensure peace and stability in the region, the spokesman added.
