The city-based
Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) would not forge an alliance with any party for the Legislative Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh, its chief Asaduddin Owaisi said here today.
"There is no alliance with any political party," he told reporters after filing his nomination papers for the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency.

Some Congress and TRS leaders had favoured their party having an alliance with MIM, which is a major force in Hyderabad and has considerable presence in Telangana region.
MIM has already announced a list of candidates for seven assembly seats in Hyderabad.
It has seven members in the outgoing Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly. The MIM has so far been confined to Hyderabad though, it has, of late started making efforts to expand its footprint to Seemandhra and states like Maharashtra as well.
Elections for general and undivided Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly are scheduled for April 30 in Telangana region and on May 7 in Seemandhra.
