Min expresses anguish over lack of amenities in RPF barrack

Chowdhury who visited the RPF line barracks at Howrah yesterday, said he would try to improve facilities provided to the members of the force who were working for the safety and security of the passengers, an Eastern Railway press release said here today.

He commended the good services of RPF personnel who he said, inspite of many constraints, maintained security and safety of passengers.

He said a new barrack for 278 RPF personnel has been sanctioned with all modern facilities at Howrah and that the tender was about to be finalised. He also visited the RPF armoury and inspected the weaponry used by RPF.

 

He assured to procure modern security gadgets for passenger safety and security.
