Minimum temperatures today hovered around normal levels in most parts of Punjab and Haryana as cold conditions continued in both states.
Narnaul in Haryana was the coldest place in both states, registering a minimum of 3.5 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal, a Met department official said today.
Ambala saw a low of 7.8 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal while in Hisar, the minimum was 6.1 degrees Celsius, one notch below normal.

Union Territory Chandigarh, the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana, recorded a minimum of 7.1 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal.
In Punjab, Amritsar, Ludhiana and Patiala recorded their minimums at 6.6 degrees Celsius, 6.6 degrees Celsius and 7.7 degrees Celsius respectively.
Foggy weather at several places affected road, rail and air traffic because of poor visibility, officials said.
