Mindtree shares gain 6% on robust Q4 profit

Shares of software services firm Mindtree today soared over 6 per cent after the company reported a 21.2 per cent rise in consolidated net profit for the March quarter.

The stock surged 6.22 per cent to settle at Rs 731.35 on BSE. Intra-day, it jumped 8.64 per cent to Rs 748.

On NSE, the scrip zoomed 5.66 per cent to close at Rs 730.80.

On the volume front, 1.33 lakh shares of the company changed hands at BSE and over 13 lakh shares were traded at NSE during the day.

Mid-sized software services firm Mindtree today reported a 21.2 per cent growth in consolidated net profit at Rs 156 crore for the quarter ended March 31.
 

The firm had posted a net profit of Rs 128.7 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a statement.

The consolidated revenue of the company jumped 44.2 per cent to Rs 1,324.2 crore in January-March from Rs 918.1 crore a year ago.

In dollar terms, net profit rose 11.1 per cent to USD 23 million, while revenue jumped 32.3 per cent to USD 195.6 million.

Constant currency growth stood at 7.1 per cent quarter-on -quarter.

For the year ended March 31, net profit grew 12.5 per cent to Rs 603.3 crore, while revenue was up 31.7 per cent to Rs 4,689.6 crore as against the previous fiscal.
