A surveyor in the Mines and Geology department here was caught today for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000, Anti-Corruption Bureau officials said.
Deputy Superintendent of Police KR Prasad said surveyor DA Murali Krishna had demanded the bribe in return for recommending a gravel quarry in the name of the complainant in Revada village here.
The official said that the accused accepted the money during a trap laid by the ACB. He added that further investigations were underway.
