A visit to the National Rail Museum here will be more exciting now as it has acquired a miniature train and locomotive simulators with 3D effect to increase the footfalls.
A visitor can ride the train simulators including diesel loco, steam loco and coach to feel the actual train running experience, a senior Railway Ministry official said today.
The coach simulator will also give an insight of the development by the Railways over 162 years using state-of- the-art 3D virtual reality.

The museum has been renovated with additions of many attractions and the renovated museum will be inaugurated by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu tomorrow.
Prabhu will also launch the National Rail Museum website, E-Book and a smart card system for museum ticketing on this occasion.
Spread over 11 acres of land, the museum has an extensive collection of rail exhibits that comprise of more than 90 vintage steam, diesel and electric locomotives, Royal Saloons, cranes and wagons.
A tourist attraction in the national capital, the museum has registered a footfall of almost 4 lakh in the year 2015.
A new toy train and musical fountain are also operational in the museum.
