A senior official of the government railway police today instructed his subordinates to minimise crime, after inspecting the places of loot and dacoity here.

"The culprits who are not included in the crime make a new group by associating with new members. Two persons cannot commit loot in a train coach," DIG (GRP) Ram Pal Singh said while talking to reporters about recent train robbery here.

He also instructed his subordinates to nab the real culprits.

"Normally to dilute the pressure, no stress is on real culprits. Somehow, one or two persons are nabbed for breakthrough of the incident. It promotes more crime," he said.

The subordinates have been instructed to go for accountability, he said.

"If a daily report is taken from the beat constable or those given some assignment, it would not only reduce the crime but some culprits are bound to be nabbed," the DIG said.
