In Punjab, the night temperatures hovered within normal limits at most places, including Amritsar (9.3 degrees Celsius), Ludhiana (8.2 degrees Celsius), Patiala (10.4 degrees Celsius), Bathinda (10.6 degrees Celsius), Pathankot (11.4 degrees Celsius), Faridkot (11 degrees Celsius) and Halwara (7.9 degrees Celsius).
However, Gurdaspur (5 degrees Celsius) and Adampur (6.7 degrees Celsius) registered below normal minimums.
The minimum temperatures at Ambala (9.7 degrees Celsius), Karnal (8 degrees Celsius), Hisar (7.3 degrees Celsius), Rohtak (8.8 degrees Celsius) and Sirsa (10.6 degrees Celsius) in Haryana settled within normal limits.
However, Narnaul experienced a cold night at 5.7 degrees Celsius.
The maximum temperatures in the two states including Chandigarh have been hovering 2-3 notches above normal limits.
