Minimum temperatures rise sharply across Punjab, Haryana

The minimum temperatures today rose sharply across Punjab and Haryana, where few places received light to moderate rainfall.

Chandigarh recorded a minimum temperature of 16.6 degrees Celsius, ten degrees above normal limits.

Ambala in Haryana registered a sharp increase in its minimum temperature, which settled at 15.3 degrees Celsius, up seven notches against normal.

Hisar recorded a low of 14.8 degrees Celsius, six degrees above normal while Karnal's minimum settled at 13 degrees Celsius, up four notches against normal.

Amritsar in Punjab recorded a low of 15.6 degrees Celsius, up ten notches against normal.

Ludhiana recorded a low of 15.2 degrees Celsius, eight degrees above normal limits. Patiala's minimum settled at 15.4 degrees Celsius, seven notches more than normal limits.
 

Pathankot (15.5 C), Adampur (16 C), Halwara (13.5 C), Bathinda (13.4 C), Faridkot (14 C) and Gurdaspur (15 C) also registered above normal minimum temperature.

Among other places which received rainfall today included Chandigarh, Ambala, Panchkula, Mohali, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Patiala, Pathankot, Adampur, Halwara, Bathinda, Faridkot and Gurdaspur.
