A Jammu and Kashmir minister has demanded CBI probe into the deaths of students from the state studying in various parts the country.

"We demand CBI probe in all such cases wherein J&K students, studying in various parts of the country, were found dead outside the state," J&K Minister for Road and Buildings Abdul Majid Wani said here last night.

Wani said this is a matter of serious concern and needs to be investigated by the CBI.

A student from Doda in Jammu and Kashmir was found dead under suspicious circumstances recently in Punjab where he was pursuing an engineering course, the minister said.

"Like many incidents before, today again we lost a bright and promising young man from our state," he said.
