Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, who dismissed one of his Cabinet ministers today, said it was a collective decision of the ruling alliance's Coordination Committee.
"It is the decision of the Coordination Committee of the ruling allies," Soren told reporters when asked to comment on the dismissal of Rural Development Minister Chandra Sekhar Dubey earlier in the day.
Dubey's recent statement to a section of media in Bokaro where he levelled charges of corruption against Soren, might have been the reason for the decision, a Congress leader, preferring anonymity, said in Ranchi soon after Governor Syed Ahmed approved the chief minister's recommendation to dismiss Dubey.
Soren was here to lay the foundation stone for a 1,320 MW power plant at Bhavnathpur in the district.
