"The present regime headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is keen to develop backward and far-flung areas to fulfil its commitment with the people," Sharma said while addressing a public meeting at Brudi in Akhnoor belt of Jammu.

Providing all basic amenities across the state was the priority of the government, he said.

"Acceptance of the justified demands and taking right action to redress the grievances of the people is important ingredient in the delivery of coalition government," he said.

Sharma added that various measures aimed at ameliorating the conditions of the weaker section have been initiated, which are showing visible impact on ground.
