The arrested persons including prime accused Nishan Singh Brar, his mother Navjot Kaur and SAD leader Dimpy were produced before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Rajish on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the court also rejected the bail plea moved by one of the accused Kulwinder Kaur.

The joint action committee, comprising several NGOs, social organisations, farmers unions and local residents, demanded impartial probe into the alleged kidnapping of the 15-year-old girl in full public view on September 24.

The committee alleged that there was a criminal negligence on the part of police in registering the case against Nishan Singh, who is facing at least 18 criminal cases.

The girl, a class X student, was recovered by police from Goa in October and initially she refused her medical examination.

But, however, later she accepted her medical examination after which she was found pregnant. On the directions of the court, the pregnancy of the girl was later terminated.
