Minor boy attacked by unidentified persons in UP

A 12-year-old boy was allegedly attacked by some unidentified persons who tried to slit his throat in Gunia Khurd village in Tambaur area today, police said.

The incident took place when Vinesh (12) was playing near a school in the village following which some unidentified persons allegedly covered his head with a scarf and attempted to slit his throat with shaving blades, they said.

The boy screamed for help after which locals rushed to the spot.

His parents and other family members also reached the spot later and rushed him to a local hospital from where he was rushed to Lucknow as his condition was critical.
 

Two blood stained shaving blades were recovered from the spot, police said, adding that probe is on in the matter.

Victim's father Brij Mohan has denied any enmity with anyone.
