A 6-year-old boy drowned while taking bath in a pond in Ramda village of Shamli district, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday, when Saeedul Hasan and his friend Sakib (5) had gone to take bath in the pond along with some other children, they said.
While Saeedul died on the spot, Shakib was rescued and rushed to hospital in serious condition, police said, adding the body has been sent for post mortem.
