Minor boy kidnapped and murdered

A 10-year-old boy, who had gone missing last month, was allegedly murdered by his two abductors in Chandrayangutta here, police said.

Y Karunakar, a student of standard IV, had been kidnapped by Mallikarjun and Mohan Naik on September 22 and was allegedly murdered by them the next day, they said.

Two days back, the duo called up the boy's father and demanded a ransom of Rs 2 lakh, Chandrayangutta Police Station Inspector N Rama Rao said.

Both the accused were nabbed through call data records. During the interrogation, they confessed to have strangled the boy and dumped his body near Balapur.
 

Based on the information, the victim's desomposed body was traced today, another police office said.
