A 10-year-old boy died after being hit by a vehicle in southwest Delhi's Dabri area.

Prince and his father Guddu, were yesterday standing on the roadside when the boy was hit by a speeding vehicle, police said.

The driver did not stop after hitting the boy and sped away, they said.

Prince was rushed to the hospital where he died during treatment, police said.

Guddu, who is a welder, told police that he could not note down the car's registration number but he told them that a white car hit his son, a senior police officer said.

Police are scanning the CCTV footage from the area to determine the car number that hit the boy.
