Body of a 7-year-old boy with slit throat and wrapped in a saree was today found in outer Delhi's Amand Vihar area.

The boy, Prince, went missing last evening while playing outside his house.

Kanhaiya Lal, victim's father, who works at a factory, had lodged a missing complaint, a police officer said.

Police and family members had searched for the boy but failed. Locals this morning found the boy's body in a vacant plot near his residence.

A case of murder has been registered by police.

Lal told police that he did not have enmity with any one but suspected a youth who lived in his neighbourhood.

The youth was questioned and further investigation was on to catch the culprits, the officer said.

Police are suspecting it to be a case of sorcery.
