Minor boy who got injured in a scuffle, dies

A 14-year-old boy, who was allegedly hit by his 11-year-old cousin during a minor scuffle over a game of Ludo last week, has died while undergoing treatment at a hospital here, police said today.

On February 6, the two boys fought after the 11-year-old "teased" the teenager after he lost a game of Ludo at their house, Mirchowk Police Station Inspector P Shiva Bhaskar said.

"Both of them hit each other and the 14-year-old collapsed and fell unconcious. He was shifted to a hospital and slipped into come. While undergoing treatment he died yesterday," the police officer said.

"A post-mortem was conducted on the body of 14-year-old and a report is awaited which will determine the exact reasons for the boy's death," he said.
 

Based on a complaint, a case was booked under section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of IPC. "No one has been apprehended so far," the Inspector said adding further probe is on.
