Minor dies of burn injuries

An eight-year-old boy was killed while several members of his family received burn injuries when their house in east Delhi's Nand Nagri area caught fire.

The boy identified as Bhupendra, his father Rohit, mother Pushpa and younger brother Pushpendra had sustained burn injuries in the incident last evening and they were rushed to a nearby hospital by rescuers.

"The boy, who had received 70 per cent burns in the incident died today morning in the hospital. The other members of the family are said to be stable," said a police official.

Fire officials said that the fire was caused due to leakage from a gas cylinder.
