Minor fire breaks out at SBI building

A minor fire broke out at the State Bank of India building on Parliament Street here this evening.

The blaze was put out within half an hour and no serious damage was caused, a fire department official said

The fire was reported on the fifth floor of the SBI building at around 8:10 PM, the official said.

"It was caused due to the heat of machine oil in the room from where the elevators are operated," he said.

"The fire was brought under control by 8:37 PM," he said.
