Minor fire breaks out in a building

A minor fire today broke out in the basement of a building where over 100 students were attending coaching class in Bapu Nagar locality here, police said.

However, no one injured in the fire which was controlled timely by the fire brigade officials but the incident created panic among the students, they said.

District collector Krishna Kunal also rushed to the spot and spoke to the students.

"The fire broke out in an electricity panel installed in a narrow passage on the stairs for the basement. When the fire broke out, over 100 students were attending class in the basement," a police official said.
 

There were no firefighting equipments and the passage was very narrow, a fire officer said, adding the fire caused little damage to the building.
